Hi, I'm Tasha and thank you for visiting Dolphin Creek Flowers of emsworth
A little bit about me and my journey so far...
I trained as a florist around 15 years ago. While working in the trade, I became aware of the environmental issues within the industry. I discovered that 90% of flowers brought in the UK are imported. The majority of those imports have been chemically treated to preserve their vase life and delay their ripening - thus removing scent. Single use plastics were being used to wrap them at source, and then again once they reach their destination in the UK. I discovered that British flowers were available if you looked hard enough - full of gorgeous natural scent, full of individuality and without the need for chemicals as they do not have as far to travel.
Dolphin Creek Flowers was born.
I am committed to supporting our British flower farms where possible, and passionate about growing my own seasonal produce. My flowers, herbs and foliage are sourced as locally as possible. I am inspired by nature, my designs lean towards a wild, unstructured look, and you can often spot me foraging for seasonal loveliness to incorporate into my work. When required to use imported flowers, I make sure they are sourced from fair trade farms, which provide a living wage to those who grow them. I source re-purposed containers and biodegradable materials where ever possible, creating beautiful, unique and scented designs with minimal environmental impact.
Based in Emsworth, on the West Sussex Hampshire border, I can deliver my seasonal arrangements locally, Get in touch if you'd like to know more
